On giving

To my young lovers and who it may concern

You may have noticed by now that I have cooked for you ; I have listened to you ; I have comforted you ; I have shared my heart, body , soul and worldy wisdom with you . You may have also noticed that I have asked for nothing in return and I still do not expect anything from you , but next time you think about visiting me, think about this.

The universe operates through dynamic exchange. Giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. In your willingness to give that which you seek , you keep the abundance of the universe circulating in your life.

Never come to me without bringing me something. Never come to my house without bringing me a gift. It does not need to be expensive. It could be one flower. It could be a note, a card which says something about how you feel about me , a poem or something that you have chosen especially for me. It needs to be personal. Know, that as long as you are giving , you are also receiving.

I am grateful for all the gifts of the universe.
