30 empty boxes arrived today

30 empty boxes arrived today and I spent a few minutes learning to assemble them. It's tricky until you know how.

Made 30 A5 size labels and numbered them 1 to 30 and attached one to each box.

My system ;
- Start packing things that you don't use very often
- Pack all books in double carrier bags ; easier to carry and move.

Have started to record contents of above boxes in a MOVING HOUSE AND HOME notebook containing all manner of necessary info. Box no 1 + contents , Box no 2 + contents etc etc

So....when I start unpacking , I shall start with the higher numbers first; last in .... first out.

What's taking time is the going through all the bits and pieces and so far I've found quite a few interesting things and had nostalgic moments. It's hard to let go of photos , cards and letters and I have tons !

Rewarded myself earlier on this evening by having sautéed scalloped potatoes with caramelised onions and homemade coleslaw and SO enjoyed every divine morse and a couple of glases of red wine. Funny how certain foods hit that spot that lettuce leaves never reach.

Wish I had a bath...ah well ... shower will have to do until I move .......
