Ingmar Bergman

Found out on Monday , at Lena's birthday party on Älgö , that Ingmar Bergman had died at the age of 89.

Birthdays and deaths.
People coming and going.
Entrances and exists.
We hold them both.

I was very much in Ingmar Bergman's energies last night. Switched on the televison last night, happened to see an interview with I.B. Got caught up in it. There are no accidents.

Most of us , although we never knew I.B personally had some soort of connection with him through his films and plays. It's like that with public figures, esepcially the outstanding ones.
I.B touched many lives , He was brutally honest sometimes- and I think that he paid a price for always speaking his truth.

An artist.
A life artist.
I .B. was dedicated to his work....his art... a legend.

My first contact with Imgmar Bergman was via the film " Virgin Spring " which I saw in France, 1971-72. It was in black and white and most probably bubbed ( !! !) I remember making lots of notes afterwards.

" Fanny and Alexander " is another Bergman film that I love and love to see again and again.
