Lentil curry



Yummy lentil curry .. and I made it !

Lentils are one of the healthiest foods and they are cheap and quick and easy to prepare. They readily absorb a variety of wonderful flavours from other foods and seasonings, are high in nutritional value and are available throughout the year. I used the orange ones and sprouted them for a couple of days before cooking them in my " witches couldron" favourite cast iron pot.

First into the couldron olive oil and then finely chopped onions garlic and carrots .
Next spices. All sorts of spices :ginger, corriander, paprika, cumin , curry , cinnamon too, tumeric ........
Then tomato puré ..water , stock, a little salt ...
Finally lentils and finely chopped potato.

I don't know if this is the right way to make curry .. but it tasted FABULOUS with some cous cous. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
